As You See It Challenge!

It's that time again for another challenge from the AYSI design team.  I really like this sketch and how easy my project came together.

Here is the scrapbook page that I came up with of Adventure Baby & our dog Marley.  My daughter loves this dog so much & the dog loves her.  They are peas in a pod.  Marley was a new addition to our family this summer, so we are still working on some things, like don't run on the leash.

Now it's your turn to take the challenge.  Link up your project to the As You See It Challenge blog.

As You See It Challenge

This weeks challenge is a bit different, but it's sure to challenge your creativity!

This weeks challenge is to use your current favorite stamp set!
It was so hard to decide which one was my current favorite.

I finally decided on Six Sided Sampler.  This was my immediate favorite when the catalog came out this summer.

I used Six Sided Sampler to stamp the hexagon images, but added one of our new polymer stamp sets (Sorry, I just realized that it's sold out) to add the snowflakes and joy to my design.  You could use any small snowflake set and small word set though.

Here is a close up so you can see how I masked off the upper hexagon so that the snow flake would stay inside the hexagon outline stamp.

Here is another sample that I made using only the Six Sided Sampler set.  I was going for the ombre look on this card since it's all the rage right now.

Hope you enjoyed my cards this week!

As You See It Challenge #12

There is nothing like a good challenge right?  This week's sketch is a keeper that's easy to change to whatever your occasion is.

 What an easy layout, right?
I decided to make a quick and cute easy Christmas card.  I also ran washi tape through the big shot to make the rick-rack piece.  I attached it to whisper white card stock first though.

Please make sure that you play along this week!  We will be giving away blog candy!  The winner of this weeks challenge will receive (you have to live in North America) a pop-n-place kit.  It's a great kit! Make sure you link up to www.asyouseeitchallenge.com with your project.  Good luck!

As You See It Challenge

This week's challenge is a COLOR Challenge!  How fun is that?!?!?
Use these colors to design your own card and link it up to the AYSI blog.

When I saw these colors I instantly thought of a baby card.  I recently ordered a couple of new stamp sets and put them to good use on this card.

Using the Stamp-a-majig I was able to balance the animals on top of each other.  Carefully perched as if they were a brand new family.

Please take a few minutes to play along with the challenge and link up your project!

As You See It Challenge

Remember way back when....you know when you would play the telephone game in school or youth group?  It would start out as Sally got a new dog & end up as George went to a concert.
So my understanding is that this week's challenge is called a telephone design.  I'm not so sure why that is but it is.  I'm thinking because we give you the items to use and you do the design.

So here it is!

The challenge is to use all the items listed above in your card.

I 'may' of cheated a bit and made my card a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 sized card.  The beauty on this size card is you can still mail it in a normal card envelope.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the flowers and stamped the background using my favorite set Gorgeous Grunge.  Love that stamp set!  Next I stamped Thanks and assembled the card.  Quick, easy, and cute, my type of card.

Please play along in the As You See It Challenge this week but linking up at www.asyouseeitchallenge.com

It's another Challenge!

Welcome to another challenge from the As You See It Challenge blog!
Here is this weeks sketch.  It's a beauty.

This week I decided to take a break from cards and make a scrapbook page.  I use Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio as my digital scrapbooking program.  I love that a stamp is a stamp and the colors are all the same as what I have for my card making.

The subject of this page is my sweet five year old Adventure Baby.  She's full of spunk & delight!  I took her out to a camp that we stay at in the summer and did a short photo shoot with her.  This is one of the great photos that I loved from the shoot.

Hope you enjoyed my project this week!

As You See It Challenge

It's another week and another challenge!  Lovin' this sketch from the As You See It Challenge blog once again.

I decided to use the some of our great birthday paper and the Sketched Birthday stamp set. What a great birthday invite it makes & it was so simple to make too.
You totally could whip 20 of these out in no time.

Here's a little close up of some of the details.

As You See It Design Challenge

Are you lovin' these challenges or what?!?!?!
I know I am lovin' being part of the design team and having a new reason to create something each week.  So follow along for this weeks new challenge.

This is such a great sketch, don't you think?
I love the simplicity of it and how it can be used for so many different types of cards.

When I saw this layout I knew immediately that I would want to use the new Circle Card Thinlit card die from Stampin' Up!  Basically using one sheet of paper it makes the flip card after running it thru your Big Shot.

I also used some of our great designers series paper for the card base and added some of our great chevron ribbon. Of course I stamped the flower to add a bit of pizzaz.  Love that stuff!

Here is the inside of the card (flipped open).  Cute, quick, and simple.

Please join us and play along at As You See It Challenge for the chance to be our weekly winner & link up your project inspired by this sketch.

As You See It Challenge #4

It's been almost a month already that we have been playing along with the As You See It Challenge blog!  It's been TONS of fun already.

Here we go!  Challenge #4

It's a dandy.  Don't you think?

I decided to go ahead and use Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock with some matching designers series paper from the Soho Subway (my fave) pack.  Added lots of detail with the Pamplona Potpourri stamp set, Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, and the Many Thanks stamp set.

Here is a close up where you can see the butterflies that I punched out and layered onto Early Espresso cardstock.  I also used the dotted ribbon scallop punch to give another layer in front of the ruffled ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed the challenge this week!

As You See It Challenge #3

Whooo Hoo!  It's a new week & that means a brand new challenge from the

When I saw this layout I fell in love with all the layers and texture.
So without further adieu here is what I came up with.

The first shot is of course a close up of all the texture that I used in my card.  We have the houndstooth embossing folder, burlap ribbon from the Holiday Catalog, the Top Note Die for the Big Shot, then of course Gorgeous grunge & Fine Feather stamp sets.  These are two of my ALL time favorite stamp sets.

Here is the end result.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out this week.  Hope you enjoyed it too.

Welcome back for the second challenge from the AYSI Challenge Blog.  This weeks sketch is killer & don't forget to link up your projects on the AYSI blog.

Without further adieu, here is this weeks sketch.

As You See It Design Challenge #1

I'm so excited to be part of the Design Team for the all new As You See It Design Challenge Blog.  I'm designing with a bunch of great friends & Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from Canada and the U.S.
Each week there will be a new card layout design that will be highlighted on the blog & also my cards for the week will be posted here.  Of course there will be a weekly card challenge on the design blog.

The first layout is a great one that I'm sure you'll LOVE.  Very hip and modern.

So without further adieu, here are my week one cards:

I guess you could say this week I love pattern.

The first card is a great birthday or even a girls night out party card.  I think the Happy Hour stamp set is super cute.  It has some great words along with all the drink glasses.  What I love most about this set is the pattern within the glasses.

The colors that are used are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.  Did you notice my washi tape flags?  Yep, that's the new washi out of the holiday mini along with the great stripe designer series paper.

Why Hello There!
I flipped the layout just a tad this week to match the great designers series paper.  See those rings (almost like coffee rings) on the paper.  Yep, they came that way on one of the sheets Epic Day This & That paper.  On the left side I stamped with Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake to give a bit more texture.  Then I stamped Oh, Hello in Espresso from the Oh, Hello stamp set.
The flags are all from the Epic Day paper too.  Add a little Baker's Twine and a Naturals button and you are all set to go.

Hope you enjoyed this week's challenge and make sure to visit As You See It Challenge Blog for great cards from the rest of the Design Team.

*Don't forget to participate in the challenge too!  Link up your our creation on the AYSI blog.

Enjoy & have a great weekend!

Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!

Thank you so much for joining us on our very first Kaleidoscope Stampers Blog Hop!  We are very excited to share what we have been working on with you.

I am SO excited about the brand new Sale-A-Bration stamp set Feeling Sentimental.  It has me all sentimental about when I studied abroad in the UK during college.  Ah, good times.  Anyway here are just a couple of cards that I made with the set.

The first one I tried to grunge up the designer series paper by crumpling it, sponging it, and spritzing it.  I then stamped the phone booth over top in Saraha Sand ink and colored in the negative a Cherry Cobble Stampin' Write marker.
Lastly, I added some of our great Natural 7/16 Trim Ribbon to set it off.  I love the burlap look right now so this ribbon is right up my alley.  I won't tell you how many rolls I've ordered already since the Spring Mini Catalog came out.

The second card I made was a quick & easy one.  Using the Window Frames Framelits just made this card fit together like a glove.  I also used the designers series paper Parkers Patterns to give it a bit of flair wrapped in seam binding.

Still LOVIN the Feeling Sentimental stamp set?  If you are in the US please contact me so you to can earn it for FREE!
